Norris LakeIT'S ALL WAITING FOR YOU AT NORRIS LAKE. WE INVITE YOU TO VISIT AND LET US SHOW YOU THE PLACE WHERE YOU BELONG.
Norris Lake, TN - An original project of the Tennessee Valley Authority, Norris Lake was created by Norris Dam, an impressive feat of engineering that stands to this day. Since its completion, Norris Lake has become a hotspot for vacationers during all times of the year, and especially for fishing enthusiasts.
Nestled between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Mountains, Norris Lake has been a gorgeous area of Tennessee for decades. Extending dozens of miles up the Clinch and Powell Rivers, the lake has ample shoreline with many opportunities for exploring the serene Tennessee Valley. Surrounded by state parks and huge wildlife areas (one of which includes a trail marked by Daniel Boone!), Norris Lake is a great place for both hunting and fishing (rock fish, walleye, and bass are plentiful) when the season is right.
Trek up some of the trails to find spectacular views of tree-covered bluffs. Or, if the mood strikes, rent a boat or jet-ski and get out onto the water how you really want. Located north of Knoxville, you'll be nearby to some of the greatest entertainment in the south. While visiting Norris Lake, make that quick 30-minute drive to Knoxville and check out any of the art festivals or rock concerts. And you can't miss checking out downtown where you can find Market Square and the Old City. The best times to enjoy the recreational fishing prospects in Norris Lake are the spring months of April, May and June.
